20 plus persons attended the third “Meet Your Legislator” Saturday March 7th. Tori Riley, publisher and editor of Greene County News Online, served as the moderator for the interaction between the public representatives and their constituents.
Topics ranged from education funding, EMS service funding, lack of requests for proposals by State Government, sales taxes, to the Coronavirus.
The education budget has passed both houses and is on the way to the Governor. It comprises 43 percent of the State’s budget.
The 4th and final interactive session is scheduled for April 4th.
The Legislators expressed appreciation for the comments and explained it helps to know citizens concerns.
